Ultimate Ears Pro Delivers Protection from Unwanted Sound Spikes and Improved Output with New UE Pro Sound Guard
UE Pro Continues Dedication to Safe Listening, While Also Improving Sound Quality
IRVINE, Calif. — Jan. 21, 2015 — Today at The NAMM Show in Anaheim, Calif., Ultimate Ears Pro introduced the next generation of professional in-ear monitor accessories, the UE Pro Sound Guard. This state-of-the art compact and portable device connects in-line with any sound source and UE Pro in-ear monitor. It provides automated sound level management to limit unwanted noise from unanticipated high levels of sound and also enables greater sound fidelity.
“Responsible listening has always been a major focal point for us at UE Pro, with our custom in-ear monitors and earphones made to help preserve musicians’ hearing, among other things,” said Philippe Depallens, vice president and general manager of UE Pro. “We believe that musicians’ ears are their most important instrument, and when that instrument is jeopardized, so is their overall craft. We created the UE Pro Sound Guard to further help musicians’ combat loud and accidental audio spikes.”
With the UE Pro Sound Guard, artists receive protection from unexpected sound spikes that occur from microphone drops, audio feedback, incorrect volume settings and other sound hazards that may occur while performing or recording. The device also functions as an audio buffer that provides electrical impedance transformation from the source device to the connected UE Pro in-ear monitors, resulting in enhanced dynamic range and sound quality.
Pricing and Availability
The UE Pro Sound Guard is expected to be available worldwide beginning in February 2015. It is expected to be available directly through UE Pro or any authorized dealer, for a suggested retail price of $199. For more information please visit pro.ultimateears.com.
