It was a great couple of weeks for the headliners of the tour, the Newsboys. With their song ‘Gods Not Dead (Like a Lion)’ just hitting platinum status the Newsboys finished up their huge hit tour: We Believe God’s Not Dead. 316press was on hand to capture the occasion. John Tibbs opened up the night with his brief set with a soulful Americana sound. Gotee record’s artist Finding Favor followed with a more upbeat rock sound. I’m not sure how I’ve not heard of them before but I think they were the highlight of the night because it was an all new sound for me.
The new Audio Adrenaline, fronted by former Stellar Kart singer Adam Agee was up next. Also new to the band are Dave Stovall, Brandon Bagby, and Jack Campbell. Now maybe someone who grew up listening to Mark Stuart might find a bias in Adams singing Mark’s songs but I didn’t. It is always a difficult time when you bring in a new lead singer. Some of the hard core fans of the band just don’t accept a new lead singer or a change in the sound of the band. But like the Newsboys I think the guys in Audio Adrenaline pulled it off and will carry on the high standards the band was known for in their past. Adam handled the classics great and I don’t think it was a stretch at all for his voice. Their new album, ‘Sound of the Saints’, was just release on May 4th. It is so good that their song ‘Move’ was picked as the theme for ‘MLB Now’ on the MLB Network!! www.fcmgt.com/baseball-fans-move-audio-adrenaline/ . The song was even heard on during a WWE show.
Closing out the show was the always impeccable Newsboys. Never complacent the band brought out a new set design to keep their live shows fresh. Now don’t worry, Duncan still does his fan favorite and signature drum spin. When a band puts on a fabulous show for so long it becomes hard to come up with something fresh to say about it. so #webelieveitwasafantabulousGodsNotDeadtime.
